Serena celebrates her first Mother's Day as a mom

Serena Williams is celebrating her very first Mother's Day as a new mom. The 23-time Grand Slam champion has enjoyed plenty of firsts over the past year, including the birth of her child, Alexis Olympia Jr. and her wedding to Alexis Ohanian.

The 36-year-old is often posting photos with her eight-month-old daughter so here are some of the best:

Williams returned to the tour in Indian Wells, and has gone 2-2 in WTA action since then. She's been training to get ready for the clay season, while spending extra time with Olympia.

Of course, Ohanian is never far behind his two leading ladies.

And he's made the term "GMOAT" popular:

Williams pulled out of both Madrid and Rome recently. Rome is an especially big loss as it's her favorite city, where she met Ohanian and where he proposed. At least she has her bundle of giddy joy to get her through it.

Williams is still expected to play Roland Garros later this month. It'll be her first Grand Slam since winning the 2017 Australian Open while pregnant.
