Shall We Get Serious?

Alright, folks, Fabulous Mariya at Talk About Tennis and her crew (which includes our own GVgirl, TAT's newly named "Media Director" - congrats, Karen!) have extended another invitation for y'all to get into a special TennisWorld division of TAT's suicide pool. This means that TAT will separate out TW readers who identify themselves as such when making their first picks so we can have our own little SP contest-with-the contest.

To see what I mean, go to the Contests tab in the Categories tool bar on the right and scroll down to the relevant SP posts.

If you want to play in the overall TAT game, you can read the general rules here, and have any question answered here. But if you want to be in the special TW division of the SP, or in both, you MUST complete these two steps to be considered part of the TW group:

  1. Put "TW" in the post with  your pick on the FIRST DAY AND FIRST DAY ONLY,  and -

  2. Also put your TW screen-name in the **first picks post **as well, but ONLY if it's different from the TAT screen-name you will have to provide in order to play.

If  you have any questions, about these two additional provisos, address them through the above "questions" link. You can also post them in the comments, but that's risky as Mariya and her folks may not be able to keep track of it all. Your fellow posters who have played may be able to help.

This year, there will be a prize for the top male and female SP finishers from TW. We will begin to give updates on how the SP results are going sometime during the second week, when the list of players still in the game is manageable. I'm hoping that Ptenisnet, a past SP Master-of-Ceremonies, will help out with that.

I will post our own TW quiz/contest this evening at 6 PM. Please your comments in this post restricted to SP issues.

[Addendum:  I have posted examples below with formats that will make it convenient for mariya to process your picks  -- Ptenisnet]
First Day  Only:
If your TW handle is different from your handle on TAT then you should include your TW handle in the post. Therefore mariej's post would look like

TW
mariej

If your TW handle is the same as your TAT handle (like me) you can leave out your handle. Like below

Guccione
TW

For all other days you can just post your pick. You do not have to include the TW tag and you do not have to include your TW handle.

You are also invited to leave comments in your pick, but make sure that they are well separated and that your picks are easily read.
