Shanghai Crisis Center, Day 3

Good morning.  So far in Shanghai one match has been played by each player. There will be two more Round Robin matches played today in the Gold Group: Jo-Wilfried-Tsonga versus Juan Martin Del Potro, and Novak Djokovic up against Nikolay Davydenko. Assuming that the preceding doubles matches atre over, the first match will take place at 6 p.m. local time (or 5 a.m. EST). The second match will not occur before 8 p.m. local time (7 a.m. EST).

Currently Novak Djokovic leads the Gold Group, having won his first match in straight sets. He's only faced Nikolay Davydenko once before - earlier this year, in a Davis Cup tie. He won the first two sets and lost the third, retiring due to the flu he'd been suffering beforehand. Davydenko stands second in the group, having beaten Tsonga over three sets.
