Howdy, folks. I'll be working on a Devin Britton post for yall this afternoon, meanwhile, here's a place you can go to either celebrate Serena Williams's re-ascension to the no. 1 ranking (are the wheels of Dinara Safina's game really falling off as badly as it appears?). Alternatively, you can mourn Juan del Potro's loss to a qualifier - France's Edouard Roger-Vasselin (some of you may remember that his father Christophe was also a tour player during the Borg-Connors-McEnroe era, and appeared in the French Open semifinals of 1983). I suppose it dates me to know this,  but Christophe had a distinctive, not exactly pretty game - he was that era's Jarkko Nieminen, is the way I'd put it. And that reminds me, we haven't heard a peep out of Jarkko in some time, it seems, or have I just not crossed paths with him this year?

So that's it for now - I'll be back later.
