Stat of the Day: Ashleigh Barty joins rare company by winning first three Grand Slam finals
The Australian is the sixth woman in the Open Era to do it.
Ashleigh Barty has been rock solid in finals over the last few years, and that form has carried over to the biggest finals—with her 6-3, 7-6 (2) victory over Danielle Collins in the final of the Australian Open, she improved to 3-0 in her career in Grand Slam finals, having also won her first two at Roland Garros in 2019 and Wimbledon in 2021.
Barty has joined rare company with the achievement: she’s just the sixth woman in the Open Era to win their first three Grand Slam finals.
