Daniil Medvedev is 4-0 so far at the Davis Cup Finals with straight-sets wins over Ecuador’s Emilio Gomez, Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta, Sweden’s MIkael Ymer and, in Saturday’s semifinal tie against Germany, Jan-Lennard Struff.

He’s been integral to helping the Russian Tennis Federation reach its first Davis Cup final since 2007 (and get within a win of its first Davis Cup title since 2006).

But on a more individual note, Medvedev’s 6-4, 6-4 win over Struff was his 50th hard-court win of the year, making him the first player to reach that milestone.

MOST TOUR-LEVEL HARD-COURT WINS IN 2021:
50: Daniil Medvedev (50-8)

36: Andrey Rublev (36-16)
32: Stefanos Tsitsipas (32-13)
