Stat of the Day: Gasquet upsets Medvedev for 35th Top 10 win, 10th Top 5 win
The Frenchman is the 10th active man to record 35 or more career wins over Top 10 players.
Daniil Medvedev was rusty coming into Geneva, obviously, having been off the tour since Miami due to a hernia—but a win over him is a big one no matter the circumstances, and for Richard Gasquet on Tuesday it was a double milestone.
First of all, Gasquet’s 6-2, 7-6 (5) victory over the No. 2-ranked Russian at the ATP 250 event was his 35th career win over a Top 10 player, making him just the 10th active men's player to record 35 or more career victories over the elite.
