Stat of the Day: Grigor Dimitrov reaches 100 career Masters 1000 wins
The former No. 3 is now two wins away from his second Masters 1000 crown, having won Cincinnati in 2017.
Grigor Dimitrov rallied from a set down—and fought off break points midway through the second set—to beat Hubert Hurkacz in the quarterfinals of Indian Wells on Thursday, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (2).
The win not only put him through to the semifinals of Indian Wells for the first time, having never even been past the third round before this, but it also gave him his milestone 100th career win at a Masters 1000.
The former No. 3 is now 100-73 in his career at Masters 1000s.

Dimitrov’s run at Indian Wells has also included his third career win over a Top 2 player—the former No. 3 took out No. 2-ranked Daniil Medvedev in the fourth round. His other two wins over Top 2 players came against No. 1 Novak Djokovic (2013 Madrid) and No. 2 Andy Murray (2016 Miami).
