Stat of the Day: Novak Djokovic has now won 18 of his last 19 Grand Slam semifinals
It’s a stretch that lasts seven-and-a-half years, and the only loss in that stretch was barely a loss.
After dropping the first set to Cam Norrie it was smooth sailing for Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of Wimbledon on Friday, as he cruised past the British No. 1 in the next three sets to move comfortably through to the final, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
Not only is the Serb now through to the 32nd Grand Slam final of his career—breaking a tie with Roger Federer for the most in men's tennis history—but he’s now won an incredible 18 of his last 19 Grand Slam semifinals, a stretch that dates back to the start of the 2015 season.
And the only loss in that stretch was as close to a win as a player can get.
