The Baseline Player of the Week: Taylor Fritz

After reaching his first final in 2016 in Memphis, Taylor Fritz did one better in Eastbourne to win his first ATP tour trophy.

The 21-year-old defeated fellow American Sam Querrey in a decisive 6-3, 6-4 victory in just over an hour to take home the title. Fritz dropped just one set all week, to top seed Guido Pella.

Going from a ranking of No. 145 in 2015 to now No. 31 on Monday, Fritz is having the best season of his career. Interestingly, this was the first all-American men's final in Eastbourne since it's inception in 1995.
