The best WTA vacations from the 2018 offseason
The stars of the WTA tour really have outdone themselves this offseason. It's common for pros to take a break after wrapping up the long 11-month season, and also common for them to jet off to beaches all around the world.
But this year seems extra luxurious as the likes of Garbine Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Dominika Cibulkova and more are posting drool-worthy photos of their island adventures. Take a look:
Garbine Muguruza embraced the island lifestyle in full on the Mauritius, off the coast of east Africa.
Let's take a closer look at that classic, braided and beaded vacation hair style.
Dominika Cibulkova has become a regular at the Maldives, out in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
And this year she was joined by some special friends.
Angelique Kerber had plenty to celebrate, like her Wimbledon title:
She also chose the Maldives, which is a series of 26 atolls, or coral-formed islands.
Donna Vekic and Stan Wawrinka took a trip together to... you guessed it... the Maldives.
And they even ran into Caroline Wozniacki and her fiancé David Lee.
Who had her own fun on the tropical islands.
Karolina Pliskova broke the mold by going to Seychelles, which is still in the Indian Ocean.
She arrived on the archipelago after losing in the semifinals of Singapore.
Thailand was a popular choice as well. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova spent some quality time on the Phi Phi islands, just off the coast of Phuket.
While CoCo Vandeweghe was nearby in Phuket mingling with some locals.
Katerina Siniakova deserved an extended holiday after putting up two points in the Czech Republic's 3-0 Fed Cup win over the United States.
Serena Williams got to introduce her one-year-old daughter to the ocean for the first time.
And last but not least, Eugenie Bouchard stayed a little closer to home by taking in Miami Beach.
Are you jealous yet? Though it looks like everyone is still in complete vacation mode, the 2019 season is just around the corner.
