The Deuce Club, 1.24
By TW Contributing Writer, Heidi Kim

Welcome to the world, Soli! This is Ruth's brand new grandson, who she will be meeting in a couple of days. Congratulations to the whole family!
I pause here to encourage you as usual to send in your own news, photos, birth announcements, etc.
While everyone's still AO crazy, I offer you The Deuce Club international press roundup day. My brother is teaching at a university in Poland this year, and had this to say after I emailed him the day both Domachowska and Radwanska were playing. I commented on the fact that Carillo and Mary Jo had pronounced Domachowska in every possible way (particularly the ch, which came out as ch, sh, zh, an aspirated h...).
This is other than soccer, of course, which is very big in Poland as in most of Europe... or the world. The Radwanskas are reasonably big news over there since the US Open.
He added the next day,
I did some press-digging and found for you a nice photo and feature article on Domachowska in one of Poland's main sport papers. The online translator produced a real hash, but as far as I can tell, it's one of those "I'm more mature now, I'm enjoying it more" resurgence articles.
From France, a nice interview with L'Equipe's tennis consultant Arnaud Di Pasquale. Main points: He was stunned by the dominance of Tsonga's victory, but it comes from not giving Nadal a chance to breathe, with Tsonga's movement and serve and everything else coming together. He would prefer to see Tsonga play Federer in the final because of the prestige, but thinks that it will be Djokovic. As for Squeaky-gate, he finds it laughable, but sees the replay in the 4-4 game of the third set as the turning point.
At the time I was writing this, 84% of Blick's readers in Switzerland believe in their man to win tonight.
And don't forget "Aussie Ana" Ivanovic's column/blog in The Age, a major Melbourne paper. Her columns can be found under her photo on the main tennis page, much like Pete's.
Enjoy the rest of the tournament! This is, as always, your OT space -- timely, since there's no tennis on this evening.
