Hi everyone. This will be short, as your social director is celebrating her birthday :), but feel free to hang out here for all Wimbledon and off-topic conversation 'til our next post goes up. (If you're at a loss for topics, consider Wimbledon fashion, week one's best/worst matches, racquet bracket standings. Or for those sick of tennis, what about the NBA draft?)

Can't sign off without giving you a Wimby '11 Suicide Pool update. Here's TAT's Mariya with more:

In the men's pool, there were a total of 384 entrants, with TennisWorld represented by 32 people, while the women's pool had 30 TW contestants, out of a total of 360.

With the conclusion of Thursday's play (but not of the second round), we stand at 112 (31% of the entrants) remaining alive in the Ladies' Pool. TW's stats are similar, with only 13 of 30 still alive.
They are:

Bismarck, Bobby C, Dave G, Fatboy, GVGirl, Jenn, Lbk77, Leemur, Musababid, Patrick (Master Ace), Riley371, Sblily, Surfgirl46

For the men, 384 started the pool, but only a battered 118 remain after the massacre of the first four days (31% of the pool!). Fourteen of the original 32 TWers are still in contention:

Beth, Bobby C, Cayman Karen, Dave G, Gauloises, Good Tennis fan, GVGirl, Lbk77, lilly potter, Mick1303, Mr. X, Patrick (Master Ace), Seaweed, yello fuzzy

Good luck to all, especially Bobby C, GVGirl, Lbk77, and Patrick (Master Ace), who are alive in both pools!
