The Social Slice: Wozniacki sends Valentine's Day wishes to husband and daughter
From a wife and mother spreading Valentine's cheer to a Russian's birthday, the tennis social scene was buzzing this week.
Every week, dozens of tennis players from around the world post on their social media. From funny videos to training updates, there are simply too many accounts to keep track of. That's why we do the work for you by selecting the best posts from across the world of tennis.
Welcome to the Social Slice:
Caroline Wozniacki
Wozniacki has one of the cutest families of any player, retired or active. She sat down with her husband, retired professional basketball player David Lee, and their daughter, Olivia, for a Valentine's Day photoshoot in the snow. Her husband responded in a comment, calling Wozniacki "the best wife and mom in the world." Could this family be any more perfect?
Daniil Medvedev
Medvedev has not played a tournament since reaching the final of the Australian Open, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been celebrating. The Russian recently turned 26 years old and shared a small cake on his Instagram. No huge fanfare for Medvedev's birthday, but that's to be expected from the poised world No. 2.
Rafael Nadal
After winning the Australian Open and becoming the all-time men's Grand Slam leader, Nadal is not slowing down. The Spaniard shared a shot from a recent practice session in Mexico for the ATP 500 Acapulco tournament. Nadal has won the tournament three times, choosing to not make an appearance last year.
Maria Sakkari
It may not have been the trophy she wanted, but Sakkari showed humbleness and gratitude on Instagram after losing in the St. Petersburg Open final to Anett Kontaveit. The world No. 8 was all smiles in a group photo with her team, claiming that she is already pumped to get back to work for the next tournament. This was Sakkari's first WTA Tour final since, coincidentally, facing Kontaveit at the Ostrava Open last year.
