An emotional Nick Kyrgios entered Rod Laver Arena for his fourth round against Rafael Nadal in a yellow Lakers jersey. He lost to Nadal 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (4) and would do his press conference in a black Lakers jersey, saying that if anything, he was more motivated to be better by the sad news.

Tennis fans all over the world are mourning the sudden loss of the NBA legend. The retired Lakers star and his daughter Gianna were killed along with seven others on Sunday morning in California.

Stan Wawrinka is into his fifth quarterfinal appearance in Melbourne, after fighting off Daniil Medvedev, 6-2, 2-6, 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-2. Wawrinka elevated his game in the fourth set tiebreaker and continued to gain momentum to defeat the Russian.

Bob and Mike Bryan took a third-round loss to No. 4 seeds Filip Polasek and Ivan Dodig. The six-time champions said their goodbyes to Melbourne, as their 2020 farewell tour carries on. "We're gonna really miss coming down here,” Mike Bryan told the crowd.
