Rafael Nadal would dismiss world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 to seal his 13th Roland Garros and 20th overall major. He had full control of the match from start to finish, and takes home the title without the loss of a set.

Djokovic was out of sorts in Court Philippe-Chatrier as he struggled to get games for the first half of the match. He failed to challenge the King of Clay on his favorite court, but at least the fans got on his side as they cheered for more tennis.

Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos defended their Roland Garros title with a 6-4, 7-5 win over surprise finalists Alexa Guarachi and Desirae Krawczyk. It was a nice bounce back for Mladenovic and Babos after being withdrawn from the US Open for COVID-19 related reasons. Mladenovic has now won the title three times (she won in 2016 with Caroline Garcia).

Guarachi and Krawczyk were all smiles during the trophy presentation. It marked their first Grand Slam final appearance, and they can leave Paris as the only players to beat Iga Swiatek, having taken her and Nicole Melichar out in the semifinals.
