Denis Shapovalov

The world No. 12 didn't face a single break point in his St. Petersburg opener against Serbia’s Viktor Troicki. Shapovalov made a smooth transition from clay to hard court by posting a 6-2, 6-3 score to advance at the ATP 500 event. The Canadian will face No. 141 Ilya Ivashka next.

Alexander Zverev

This year's US Open finalist Alexander Zverev watched older brother Mischa Zverev take on No. 6 seed Hubert Hurkacz. Mischa fell in straight sets to the world No. 31 but had a solid performance in his Cologne opener on Tuesday when he upset world No. 44 John Millman.

Daniil Medvedev

The Russian let Richard Gasquet get the best of him in the early portions of the match and struggled to find his rhythm. Although the world No. 6 lost the first set he roared back, serving up a bagel to the Frenchman to score a 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 win.

"Tennis never stops," this saying was a little less true in 2020, but nevertheless the sport is going strong. The action in Cologne kicked off this week, but due to COVID-19 cases spiking in the area, the event is being held without fans.

Lloyd Harris

After two hours and three minutes the South African came out on top in his second close encounter in Cologne. This time the world No.92 defeated American Steve Johnson 7-6 (5), 7-6 (2). Harris has claimed four consecutive matches and made his way through qualifying to reach the last eight.
