In all six of the Canadian's finals, he has fallen short of capturing an ATP title. In his latest he had to face this year's US Open finalist Zverev and simply wasn't given any opportunities to upset the world No. 7.

Instead, Zverev comfortably posted a 6-3, 6-3 score to pick up his 12th ATP title.
