Top 5 Photos 10:27: Djokovic wins first match in Vienna

With no WTA tournaments this week and ATP action in both Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan and Vienna, a lot of focus is on Novak Djokovic and his bid for year-end No. 1.

The Vienna draw is the most loaded, and so these are the Top 5 photos for Tuesday (all photos Getty Images).

Novak Djokovic

Djokovic is playing in Vienna for the first time since 2007 with one goal in mind: two wins and a record-tying sixth year-end No. 1 finish is his. On Tuesday, he got one win out of the way, 7-6 (6), 6-3 over Filip Krajinovic.

Filip Krajinovic

Djokovic and his Serbian compatriot Krajinovic are friends and their rapport was palpable. They had faced off in Rome earlier this year with, remarkably, a nearly identical outcome, 7-6 (7), 6-3. Djokovic next takes on Croatia's Borna Coric.

Dimitrov has been displaying some of his best tennis these days and he ousted Karen Khachanov, 7-6 (6), 6-3 to move into the second round. He's fresh off a semifinal run in Antwerp.

Dominic Thiem

The Austrian is the No. 2 seed this week at the ATP 500 and started his bid for the title with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Vitaliy Sachko. The US Open champion is playing in his first event since losing in the quarterfinals of Roland Garros.

Gael Monfils

After dropping his first round on Monday by retiring in the second set against Pablo Carreno Busta, Monfils took to Twitch to hold a press conference announcing he's done for 2020 due to a neck injury. He didn't win a match since the tour resumed in August.
