On Day 2 in Vienna, Novak Djokovic pulled out another tight two-set win, this time over Borna Coric, 7-6 (11), 6-3. By moving into the quarterfinals, Djokovic all but secured his year-end No. 1 ranking for the record-tying sixth time. Unless Rafael Nadal plays Sofia and a few more results go the Spaniard's way, Djokovic will pull even with Pete Sampras.
