As players are reaching the quarterfinal stage, the Roland Garros title is now within reach. Rain plagued outside courts on Monday, but inside Philippe-Chatrier, battles raged on.

Sofia Kenin

The American  hasn't been playing her best tennis but she's finding ways to win and fight through the draw. Kenin found her rhythm after losing the opening set against Fiona Ferro to pull off a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 comeback. The Australian Open champion is through to her first quarterfinal appearance ever in Paris.

Novak Djokovic

The world No. 1 is through to his 47th quarterfinal appearance after dispatching Karen Khachanov 6-4, 6-3, 6-3. The win ties Rafael Nadal for most all-time quarterfinal appearances at 14. Its now nine wins in a row for the Serbian, who will next face Pablo Carreno Busta.

Petra Kvitova

Three years after surviving a home invasion that up her career in jeopardy, the Czech enjoyed a 6-2, 6-4 win over Zhang Shuai to reach her first quarterfinal in Paris in eight years. The world No. 11 will take on Laura Siegemund for a place in the semifinals.

"I have so many emotions going through my head, but for now I will just keep fighting," Kvitova said.

Stefanos Tsitsipas

The world No. 6 managed to come out on top in the tight pressure-filled moments to squeeze out a clean, 6-3, 7-6 (9), 6-2, straight-set victory against Grigor Dimitrov. The Greek will next face Russian Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals, in a rematch of their recent Hamburg final. It will mark the second time the competitors have faced off in the last two weeks.

Pablo Carreno Busta

The Spaniard seamlessly slipped past resilient qualifier Daniel Altmaier, 6-2, 7-5, 6-2, to enter his second career Roland Garros quarterfinal. Carreno Busta picked up his 350th tour-level win and will face Djokovic just one month after their infamous US Open fourth round ended with the world No. 1's disqualification.
