After 10 years on the ATP tour, the world No. 14 is through to his first Grand Slam semifinal. The Argentine edged past US Open champion Dominic Thiem, 7-6 (1), 5-7, 6-7 (6), 7-6 (5), 6-2 in five hours and 10 minutes.

"I was perfect today. I think after two days I'm going to be perfect in semifinal," Schwartzman said.

Danielle Collins

With a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win over Ons Jabeur, the American secured her spot in her first-ever quarterfinal at Roland Garros. The world No. 57's win sets up an all-American clash with Sofia Kenin. Collins holds a 3-0 head-to-head record over the Australian Open champion.

Iga Swiatek

The 19-year-old ended qualifier Martina Trevisan's dream run by posting a convincing 6-3, 6-1 result to advance into her first major semifinal. Swiatek is the first Polish woman in the Open era to advance to do so and the first of any gender since Jadwiga Jedrzejowska in 1939.

The Pole will face qualifier Nadia Podoroska for a spot in the final.

Nadia Podoroska

The qualifier from Argentina is making history this fortnight. Podoroska dismissed No. 3 seed Elina Svitolina, 6-2, 6-4, to claim her eighth match at Roland Garros and her 13th consecutive win. The 23-year-old's run to the semifinals makes her the first women's qualifier in the Open era to reach the last four in Paris.

Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic

Koolhof and Metic have been on fire: They rolled into the US Open's final and now they find themselves in the semifinals at Roland Garros. The No. 9 seeds took out four-time major winners Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut in the third round. On Tuesday, they followed that up with a straight-set victory over Nicholas Monroe and Tommy Paul and have yet to drop a set in Paris.
