Milos Raonic puts it on the line

The world No. 15 put it all on the line for Team Canada while posting a solid 6-3, 6-4 win over Serbia's Dusan Lajovic in his ATP Cup opener. In the doubles decider, Raonic displayed even more excellent play, poaching and even falling to the ground to come up with volley winners.

Unfortunately it wasn't enough, Raonic and Denis Shapovalov would fall, 7-5, 7-6 (4), to Novak Djokovic and Filip Krajinovic to lose to Serbia. After the match Raonic this picture on his Twitter with the caption, "My ass left a big dent on the court."

Katie Boulter grabs biggest career win

The world No. 371 pulled off the biggest upset of her career against 16-year-old Coco Gauff. Boulter's back was up against the wall as she trailed, 6-4, 5-4, but she flipped a switch to power past the young American 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. This is the first time the 24-year-old has claimed two consecutive tour level matches. She will next face three-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka in Gippsland Trophy's third round.

Nick Kyrgios is back

"I was excited just to get back out here," Kyrgios said following his 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) over Frenchman Alexandre Muller. Going to a decisive third-set tiebreaker seemed to be fitting for his first match back in almost a year. The Aussie will next face countryman Harry Bourchier next at the Murray River Open in Melbourne.

Petra Kvitova defeats Venus Williams

In the eighth installment of their noted rivalry, the world No. 9 slipped past seven-time major champion Venus Williams, 7-6 (6), 7-5. This is the first match between the two that has not gone the distance. Kvitova is through to the round of 16 at the Yarra Valley Classic, where she will take on Nadia Podoroska.

"I lost many times against Venus and I knew it would be very difficult, but I think it was a good quality match from both sides," Kvitova said.

Daniil Medvedev remains spotless

Team Russia's Daniil Medvedev took the cake again and improved his head-to-head record against the Argentine to a spotless 6-0. Medvedev posted a seamless, 7-5, 6-3, score to seal the victory against Argentina.

This is the world No. 4's 11th consecutive match win and eight of the last 11 have been over Top-10 opponents.
