Top 5 Photos 3/3: A frustrated Medvedev crumbles to Lajovic

It was a day full of exciting action at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open and at the Rotterdam Open. Elina Svitolina set up a quarterfinal battle with her doubles partner Victoria Azarenka, while Daniil Medvedev was overcome by anger and took an early exit.

These are the Top 5 Photos from Wednesday:

Daniil Medvedev

After claiming 20 consecutive matches, Medvedev has taken two straight losses. In his Rotterdam opener, the Russian fell to Dusan Lajovic, 7-6 (4), 6-4, which will narrow his chances of moving up to world No. 2 this week. Towards the tail end of the match, Medvedev was overcome by emotion and brutally smashed his racquet, obtaining a point penalty for doing so.

In the end, Muguruza managed to come out on top, posting a 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-3 scoreline to advance to the quarterfinals.
