Top 5 Photos 3/30: Korda soars into Miami's last eight

At the Miami Open, a couple of top names proved, once again, why they are the best in the world—a few young and promising talents are rising to the occasion at the same time.

Elina Svitolina

In just 69 minutes, the Ukrainian soared into her first semifinal of the season with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Anastasija Sevastova. This is Svitolina's first final four appearance at the Miami event, and it's also her biggest semifinal appearance since the 2019 WTA Finals.

"I beat very good players," she said. "I'm playing good tennis so I try to build on that. I try to focus, you know, on my semifinal right now, because it's a big match for me. I don't want to think so much about how the tournament goes right now."

Sebastian Korda

On his home turf, the Florida native scored the biggest win of his career by edging past world No. 9 Diego Schwartzman, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5. Into his first ATP Masters 1000 quarterfinal, the American has also ousted No. 17 Fabio Fognini and No. 27 Aslan Karatsev. He awaits the winner between Andrey Rublev and Marin Cilic.

Ashleigh Barty

The world No. 1 has only played four events this year, but she's into her second semifinal. Miami's No. 1 seed showed grit and fight in defeating a tough Aryna Sabalenka, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-3, to advance into the last four of the Miami Open for the second time in her career.

Alexander Bublik

The dream continued for the world No. 44 as he inched past American Taylor Fritz, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4, to enter into his first Masters 1000 quarterfinal. After a couple of second-round losses, the Kazakhstan native is coming through on one of the game's biggest stages. He will seek revenge against Jannik Sinner next; Bublik fell in Dubai's round of 32 to the Italian in three sets earlier this month.

John Isner

The American suffered a heart-breaking 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7) loss to Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut in Miami's Round of 16. Despite holding a match point in the third-set tiebreaker, the 2018 Miami champion and 2019 runner-up saw his campaign end.

Although Isner fell short, his shoe game certainly did not.
