Top 5 Photos 8/11: Gauff gets off to winning start

No rain was in sight on Tuesday, which cleared the way for non-stop action in Lexington and Prague. Although it was odd to see Serena and Venus Williams and other top names take to an empty non-stadium court, it's exciting to see the tour back in full swing.

These are the Top 5 Photos for Tuesday.

Coco Gauff

The 16-year-old was able to survive a difficult first-round match against Caroline Dolehide in Lexington, winning 7-5, 7-5, to set up a second-round clash against No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka.

Barbora Strycova

On the red clay in Prague, the Czech would struggle to find her rhythm against a solid Sara Sorribes Tormo. Despite the challenge, Strycova was able to find her footing to post a 7-6, (3), 6-1 win.

Venus Williams

Winning the final nine points to claim a star-studded opener against Victoria Azarenka, Venus controlled the match from start to finish. The seven-time major champion rolled past Azarenka, 6-3, 6-2, and will now face sister Serena in Lexington's second round.

Alexis Ohanian and Baby Olympia

Serena's husband Alexis Ohanian and daughter Olympia sat court side for the 23-time Grand Slam champion's rollercoaster of a first round. Although, Olympia didn't seem too interested in her mom's match at times.

Simona Halep

The world No. 2 came out strong against Polona Hercog in Prague, but it would soon become a tension-filled opening match. Halep felt some tension in her back and was also battling rust, both physically and mentally. No. 1 seed would ultimately post a 6-1, 1-6. 7-6 (3) score to reach the second round.
