Top 5 Photos 9/8: Brady continues unstoppable run

It's getting down to the wire as more players pack their bags and depart the Flushing Meadows bubble. The strongest mentally and physically have consistently found a way to win and now are just a couple matches away from the US Open title.

These are the Top 5 Photos from Tuesday.

Jennifer Brady

Brady might have entered her quarterfinal bout against Yulia Putintseva trailing 0-2 in their head-to-head record, but she didn't seem too hung up on that. The American used her heavy forehand to attack the corners of the court to post a commanding 6-3, 6-2 win.

The 25-year-old is into the final four at a major for the first time in her career, and has only lost more than three games in a set once.

Alexander Zverev

The German made it through some critical moments and rallied from behind against Borna Coric to post a 1-6, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (1), 6-3 win. Zverev, who often finds himself exiting in the early rounds at majors is coming through by finding ways to win when he's not playing his best. The world No. 7 is the first German man since 1995 to reach the semifinals at the US Open.

"I've been in the gym, I've been on the track, trying to get my speed up a little bit and my conditioning as well," Zverev said. "This is the moment where it pays off."

Osaka's revenge

"I feel like she had the upper hand because I've never beaten her and those memories are stuck in my head," Osaka said. "I consider this a little bit of revenge. Of course, I feel that I've gone through a lot but the Charleston match is sort of a really bad after taste in my mouth. I don't know, I'm really glad I was able to have a much better positive attitude today."
