After his perfect comeback, Andy Murray and new partner Marcelo Melo were dismissed by Top seeds at Eastbourne.
Wimbledon is inching closer and the grass-court action continued on Tuesday at Eastbourne and the All England Club. These are the Top 5 photos that sum up the action.
1. Reigning Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber defeated Samantha Stosur, 6-4, 6-4, in the second round of Eastbourne. Her fourth straight win against the Australian sets up a third-round clash against Rebecca Peterson. Kerber defeated Peterson in their first, and only, meeting in 2015 on clay in Nuremburg.
2. After Andy Murray's perfect comeback story with parter Feliciano Lopez at Queen's Club, his second tournament went in another direction. The Scot partnered with Marcelo Melo in Eastbourne and the duo fell short in their opening match, 6-4, 6-4, to Robert Farah and Juan Sebastian Cabal. Murray and Lopez beat the same top-seeded duo last week in their opening round at Queen's Club.
3. Wimbledon qualifying rounds continued on Tuesday at the All England Club and there were a few first-round upsets. American 15-year-old wild card Cori Gauff, who was the youngest-ever finalist at the junior US Open, allied past world No. 94 Aliona Bolsova to advance to the second round.
4. In her opening round at Eastbourne, world No. 4 Kiki Bertens rolled past Yulia Putintseva, 6-4, 6-1. The Dutchwoman will battle against Anna-Lena Friedsam in the third round. Bertens defeated Friedsam earlier this year in Stuttgart in straight sets.
5. Former doubles world No. 1 Jamie Murray took the court for British sportswear brand PlayBrave and UK charity Rackets Cubed to help children learn tennis in a fun and interactive environment. The UK charity helps teach integrated sports and provides education and nutrition programs to inner city youths.
