The tension, determination and roars from the crowd escalated on Thursday in Madrid. These are the Top 5 photos that sum up all the Davis Cup action.

In Madrid, Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik faced Great Britain's Daniel Evans for the first time. Bublik prevailed in a three-set fight to even up the scoreboard for Kazakhstan and force the doubles decider.

Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski then posted a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Kazakhstan's Mikhail Kukushkin and Alexander Bublik to put Great Britain into the quarterfinals.

It's a fact that no matter where he goes, Roger Federer brings the crowds. In Buenos Aires, where Federer faced off against Alexander Zverev in an exhibition, a fan even made a handmade poster for him.

Novak Djokovic captured his 14th Davis Cup match, dismissing Benoit Paire, 6-3, 6-3, to clinch the win for Serbia.

Although France couldn't surpass Serbia to reach the final eight, they showed tremendous grit and fight in Madrid and the fans rallied behind them until the end.
