Update

Carlos Rodriguez coach of women's world number one tennis player Justine Henin of Belgium speaks at a press conference on May 14, 2008, at the Justine N-1 Club in Limelette where Henin announced her retirement from competitive tennis. Henin, who will celebrate her 26th birthday on June 1, headed the official WTA rankings released Monday for the 117th consecutive week, but pulled out of the Rome Masters this week blaming tiredness. Well, with the rain delays and what not, the Chardy match ran so long that I'm going to save my thoughts on that for tomorrow. Most of you know that he lost today to Nicolas Almagro.

Meanwhile, for those of you who haven't heard, it looks like Carlos Rodriguez, most recently the coach-for-life of the recently retired (but still French Open defending champion), Justine Henin, is probably going to coach Anna Chakvetadze.

The two worked out together in Belgium recently and Rodriguez agreed in principle, although he insisted that he won't travel. This means that Chakvetadze will have to set up shop in Belgium (she currently lives in Moscow) to get the benefit of his full-service coaching (A hat tip for this update goes to my friend Bart Lagae of the Belgian daily, De Standaard).

Have a good night everyone, see you tomorrow.
