US Open Crisis Center, Day 4 (8.30)

If any of you are wondering what on earth happened to Dmitry Tursunov (he lost) or Marat Safin (he won) yesterday, I'lll have an update a little later, including Dmitry's confession to me that he's got PMS (yeah, that PMS). I didn't have a chance to post on my conversation with Dmitry after he lost to Tim Henman on Louee Armstrong yesterday; but I'll get to it later. I have to take Cowboy Luke for a "first-day of school" haircut this morning - he starts kindergarten on Tuesday!
And how about that John Isner? He's been building credibility and Big Dog capital as quickly as poor Sam Querrey, another big lug with big game, has been burning it. So the third-round test for Roger Federer - one which could neither be predicted, guessed, nor even mathematically generated the week right after Wimbledon - has come to fruition. Whatever else you think about the Federer-Isner match-up, it's definitely going to be a very different kind of challenge for The Mighty Fed, which at this point is a great thing, right?
Anyway, this will be the place where you can call today's matches or discuss other US Open doings.
