Good evening. As usual, here's your Crisis Center extension post, after the daytime CC filled up with comments and loading became technically slower. Please continue your tennis-related conversations and analysis here. We'd appreciate it if you could save up any non-tennis discussions until the day's action is over, given the number of visitors to TW at this time, and the corresponding pressure on posting space.

Today so far, we have seen Roger Federer dismiss Radek Stepanek in three sets, and a straight set victory by Tommy Robredo over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Igor Andreev was similarly dominant over Fernando Verdasco, as were Andy Roddick over Andreas Seppi, and Nikolay Davydenko over Dmitri Tursunov. Meanwhile, Gilles Muller, after his earlier victory in five sets over Tommy Haas, has managed to eliminate another seed, Nicolas Almagro, in a tough five-set battle. Jelena Jankovic took three sets to triumph over Caroline Wozniacki, while Patty Schnyder and Elena Dementieva are the day's other victors.

Just now, in the men's evening match on Ashe Stadium, Marin Cilic has taken the first set against Novak Djokovic in a tiebreak, but Djokovic has broken Cilic in the first game of the second set, and also has held serve.

Enjoy the rest of the evening's tennis.
