Venus Williams to design Airbnb apartments

Designing woman Venus Williams has a new partner in Airbnb – and, with her tough first-round loss in Melbourne, perhaps a bit more time to cast eyes on the project.

As reported by Architectural Digest, Venus' V Starr Interiors company will create the looks for apartments by Niido, Airbnb's apartment-community partner, in a 324-unit building to appear in a town outside Orlando, Fla.

The Airbnb-Niido plans are ultimately global in scope, with Venus' firm reportedly at the ready to continue alongside the home-sharing and custom-apartment companies. If that proves to be the case, consider it a game-set-match type situation for V Starr's design team.
