WATCH: Cat scampers across the court in Moscow

“Umm, don’t mind me…I’m just trying to get back to my seat.”

Serving for a spot in the second round of the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, Daria Gavrilova was up 6-4, 5-4, deuce against Kristyna Pliskova when a cat—yes, a cat—darted along the baseline.

After the cat made it across the court, and play resumed, Gavrilova earned her second match point. However, Pliskova fought it off and pushed the set into a tiebreak, taking the breaker, 7-5. Gavrilova, though, stormed through the decider, winning it 6-1.

The men were also paid a visit. On Wednesday as Damir Dzumhur was serving on double match point against Yuki Bhambri, a cat wanted to help him close the deal.

He successfully sealed the win, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals.

Cat visits aren't that new to the tennis court. Last year in Qatar, Roberta Vinci had her match against Cagla Buyukakcay interrupted, too, by a feline interloper—on set point.

Animal and insect intrusions of all kinds happen—all over the world. Who can forget the iguana that made an appearance at the Miami Open this year?

Back to Moscow: Gavrilova had a tabby-free encounter in the second round. Unfortunately for the Australian, who was coming off a final-round appearance in Hong Kong, her run in Moscow come to an end when she had to retire down 6-3, 3-1 to qualifier Vera Lapko.
