While a large number of pros on the ATP and WTA tours are hitting beaches around the globe for some rest and relaxation after a long season, Novak Djokovic is going another route.

The former world No. 1 shared a brief video on his Facebook page of him doing a side-to-side drill, sans racket, on the beach. The focus is on going out left to his backhand, arguably the best stroke in his arsenal.

Djokovic’s fellow pros can readily attest to that with some of them—and former stars, too—saying that if they were to build the ultimate player, the Serb’s backhand is the one they would select.

Working on his footwork in the sand offers enough resistance that when it’s time to get on the court, gliding and sliding to hit those two-handers is a cinch.

Well, at least Djokovic makes it look easy.

He's scheduled to start 2018 off in Doha beginning on January 1.
