WATCH: Gauff wears football helmet for Federer's challenge
With still no live matches, the talk of the tennis world at the moment is Roger Federer's聽wall-volley challenge: Bat as many consecutive close-range volleys off the wall as you can. The catch: You have to do it while wearing an interesting hat.
On Wednesday, Coco Gauff was one of the many, many聽people to join in, but she forgot one of the critical elements, the hat (and actually, so did Novak Djokovic).
"I had to redo it because I got flamed for not wearing the hat," she said when posting her second attempt, which definitely did not disappoint鈥攕he executed聽the volleys while balancing her little聽brother's football helmet on top of her head:
On Thursday, Iga Swiatek got in on the action as well. While she technically wasn't wearing a hat, her hooded unicorn onesie seems close enough:
And Daria Kasatkina introduced a different at-home challenge, using a frying pan to knock a tennis ball into a blender:
Having only just turned 16, Gauff is already a pretty complete player, and that includes the net skills she showed off here. In addition to her one WTA singles title, she owns two in doubles, in聽Luxembourg and Washington, D.C., both with fellow teen Caty McNally.
