WATCH: Lopez commits rookie blunder in Montreal

Professional athletes make mistakes just like everyone else. Everyone remembers Chris Webber’s infamous time-out call in the NCAA Championship game, Mark Sanchez’s Butt-Fumble and JR Smith’s NBA Finals game one blunder.

Time to add Feliciano Lopez to this list of perennial “Not-Top-10” mistakes. The Spaniard seemingly forgot what sport he was playing, and for no reason whatsoever, caught a live ball on his racket as it was heading way out towards the stands. You have to see it to believe it.

The 37-year-old made light of this bone-head move by saying “At least I am the only one at something.” Lopez and Murray ended up winning the match, despite the mental lapse from Lopez, over Rogers Cup No. 2 seeds Marcelo Melo and Lukasz Kubot. They face Frenchmen Jeremy Chardy and Fabrice Martin on Wednesday.
