WATCH: Maradona makes Federer cry in Buenos Aires

Throughout his career, Roger Federer hasn’t been afraid to share his emotions on court.

During the second stop of his South American exhibition tour with Alexander Zverev in Buenos Aires, Federer was surprised with a video message from legendary footballer Diego Maradona. The 59-year-old Argentine, who calls the 20-time major champion “master, machine”, brought Federer to tears on Wednesday night.

"You were, you are and will be the greatest," Maradona said. "There’s no other like you."

Maradona added, “if you have any kind of trouble in my country, you can call me and tell me what you need.”

Zverev, who had expressed a strong desire to meet Maradona, won the friendly encounter, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2). The German and Federer head to Bogota Friday, before wrapping up with visits to Mexico City and Quito. Bob and Mike Bryan will join the festivities in Mexico to battle local favorites Santiago Gonzalez and Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela.
