The American has been regularly documenting her road to recovery from the gruesome knee injury she suffered at Wimbledon. In the months since, while balancing off-court activities like US Open media duties, the former world No. 1 in doubles has been relentless in her efforts to make a return to the WTA Tour.
It’s not all work, all the time, though: She was recently reunited with the other half of “Team Bucie” as her doubles partner, Lucie Safarova, visited Mattek-Sands at her Arizona home base.
From #coffeewithLucie to crushing rehab, Mattek-Sands stays on the move, all while continuing to impress—and inspire, too.
