WATCH: Millman raises money for McDonald's charity

John Millman did his part to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities on McHappy Day last week. He put on a uniform to flip burgers and serve meals at a local McDonalds.

"We’re just happy at Tennis Australia that we can do our little bit to help out," the 29-year-old said.

The Australian is ranked No. 34 going into the 2019 season. He'll start his year at his home event in Brisbane.

"You want a bit of confidence going into your home tournament," Millman said. "I’ve always felt as if I’ve played well at the Brisbane International."

It holds true as his best result was a round of 16 showing in 2013 and he pushed Roger Federer to three sets in 2015. He would do better against Federer this year at the US Open when he scored the upset of his life by taking out the Swiss in four sets to reach the quarterfinals.

It was by far Millman's best career week as he rose to a career-high ranking of No. 33. He would go 1-4 in the fall season while dealing with a hip injury, but has some time to regroup ahead of the new year.
