WATCH: Serena hits the practice court at Roland Garros
On Sunday, fans got a treat when Serena Williams was spotted in Paris practicing for the first time ahead of the French Open.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion is scheduled to play her first major since winning the 2017 Australian Open while a few weeks pregnant.
Williams has spent recent weeks training at her coach Patrick Mouratoglou’s academy in France. She made a quick trip to Windsor Castle for her friend Meghan Markle's wedding to Prince Harry before getting right back to business.
The former world No. 1 is currently ranked No. 453 in the world She her comeback in March after giving birth to Alexis Olympia Jr. in September. After going 2-2 in Indian Wells and Miami, Williams took a break from the tour to train.
The French Open main draw will come out Thursday, with play beginning on Sunday.
