WATCH: Tsitsipas has to explain drinking alcohol to family
"This video is dedicated to the ones that believe in the unbelievable, and it's also dedicated to One Direction," Stefanos Tsitsipas said in the preface to his latest vlog.
The YouTube video, called "PERFECT," was a vessel for Tsitsipas' thoughts following the Laver Cup after-party, and it had everything: Tsitsipas dancing to 1D, his trademark earnest soundbites and even a book review midway through, of a title called More Toxic People.

The truly entertaining part, though, came toward the end, when Tsitsipas explained to his parents that he drank alcohol at the Laver Cup celebration.
"It was disgusting, it was so bad, I didn't like it at all," he said to reassure his mother. "Mama, they forced me to do it. I will show you the video—they were screaming my name."

Tsitsipas' father, however, seemed more concerned about his alcohol choice.
"I'm telling you, the best drink is not vodka. It's gin," Apostolos Tsitsipas said. "You will like gin. Gin-tonic might be good for you."
And, because it's impossible to know everything Tsitsipas is up to, the video ended with an ominous message on the screen:

Seeded No. 1 at this week's ATP 250 Zhuhai Championships, Tsitsipas had to retire from his first match, against Adrian Mannarino.
It was a fate similar to that of fellow Laver Cup competitor Nick Kyrgios, who was compromised in his Zhuhai first-round loss and subsequently announced he needed to take time off for a collarbone injury.
