Wimbledon CC Day 9, restored

OK.  Marat Safin is partying like it's - 2000?  2005?  Both the Men's top seeds face unseeded players, meaning that the Men's final on Sunday will be between (a) the top two seeds for the third time (b) a top seed and an unseeded player, or (c) two unseeded players.

I myself think outcome (c) is unlikely, but of course you never know.  If you'd have told someone Federer's SF opponent would have been a prior GS champion, would you have picked Safin as the opponent?

And tomorrow we get a chance to see if the Wayback Machine will take us for another spin on the Williams vs Williams ride.

Hope you enjoyed today's tennis.  We're at well over 1200 comments, so treat this as an overflow post for continued discussion of tennis related activities and mildly OT stuff.
