Alexander Zverev has qualified for London, giving him an opportunity to defend the title.

The 22-year-old won the ATP Tour Finals in 2018, defeating Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic en route. But off-court problems with his team contributed to a lackluster season that left him still looking to secure a spot in the eight-player field as this week began.

But Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's defeat of Matteo Berrettini in the second round of the Paris Masters clinched a berth for Zverev, who was in 7th position in front of No.8 Berrettini.

A single spot remains, with Berrettini still in position to qualify unless Gael Monfils reaches the Paris semifinals or another player in the rest of the Top 18 wins the event—most have already exited.

It is the third straight season Zverev has qualified for the ATP Tour Finals.
