When Naomi Osaka finished off her 7-6 (2), 5-7, 6-4 win in Melbourne on Saturday, she all at once:

Pulled off the rare feat of following up a maiden Slam with an immediate second major title.
And, on the other side of the net, Petra Kvitova had returned to tennis' biggest stages by competing in a Grand Slam final for the first time since her horrific home invasion.
