Wozniacki and Federer get off to great starts in Oz

Caroline Wozniacki and Roger Federer have a lot in common this fortnight. Both are ranked No. 3 in the world and are the defending champions at the Australian Open. Both also meant business in their first-round matches on Monday, where they dismantled their respective opponents in straight sets.

The Swiss defeated Dennis Istomin 6-3, 6-4, 6-4, while Wozniacki scored a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Alison Van Uytvanck.

Federer even earned shot of the day for an outstanding backhand passing shot:

Wozniacki will play Johanna Larsson next, while Federer is set to face British qualifier Dan Evans.
