Wozniacki cracks serving joke at WTA Finals in Singapore

The Dane scored her first win over Svitolina in four attempts.

On Monday in Singapore, Caroline Wozniacki opened her WTA Finals campaign with a swift 6-2, 6-0 demolition of Elina Svitolina. When the on-court interviewer brought up her improved serve, the Dane cracked a joke:

"I've been working on it for 20 years now," she said. "I'm glad that finally it starts to click."

The win was Wozniacki's first-ever over the Ukrainian, having lost to her twice this year (in finals, no less) and once last year.

Wozniacki's performance was a strong way to start her bid for a year-end championship crown, and marks her first victory as an aunt.
