Yonex releases VCORE series in a new Sand Beige colorway
The special-edition cosmetic gives the popular spin franchise a distinctive new look.
Beige is the new black. At least where the Yonex VCORE is concerned.
The famously scarlet-colored frame has previously been given special-edition black colorways, but this latest cosmetic variation comes in a unique “Sand Beige” design. While the standard red is meant to give a fiery, outward appearance, the Sand Beige conveys a quiet energy hidden within.

Seven models in the line will be given the beige treatment, including the VCORE 95, 98 and 100. The frames may look different, but they have the exact same specs and technologies as the standard models.

Olympic silver medalist, Donna Vekic, is currently playing with the colorway at the US Open; fellow VCORE endorsers Elena Rybakina and Tommy Paul are expected to follow.

In its seventh generation, the VCORE is Yonex’s spin franchise. It appeals to aggressive players with swings that put a lot of work on the ball, with many of the enhancements to this latest model intended to accentuate that trait even further.

The tip of the frame has been thinned slightly to bolster swing speed. The head is a bit wider at the 2 and 10 o’clock positions of the face to expand the sweet spot in the upper hoop and the spacing of the main strings. Along with the new silicone-infused grommets for faster string snapback, this results in greater string movement.
Add it all up, and the frame accelerates easily and can find an extra gear when you want ramp up spin and power.
If you’ve previously liked the VCORE’s playability, but have never gibed with its traditional red coloring, the Sand Beige model might be the answer. It’s available now Yonex.com, TENNIS Shop powered by Tennis-Point, and more tennis specialty retailers.
