Hi everyone. As most of you know, Pete is on vacation this week; however, we'll continue to have daily posts so that you can discuss the tennis that's ongoing.

This week we have both the WTA and the ATP playing in Memphis. There are also ATP tournaments in Buenos Aires (clay) and in Marseille (indoor hardcourt), while the women are playing in Dubai and Bogota (both on hard courts).

From yesterday Elena Vesnina is my "player of the day", after defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova in a three-setter in Dubai.
